Chardham is the acclaimed four blessed spots of Hindu Pilgrimages, which are settled among the grandiose pinnacles of Himalayas in Uttarakhand. This hindu journey Char Dham circuit comprises of four world-famous temples: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

Chardham Yatra from Haridwar

Chardham Sacred Yatra is a well-known circuit all over the world and visited by lakhs of enthusiasts pilgrims and devotees consistently. It is situated on the high Himalayas of Uttarakhand, Chardham yatra complete after the visit of four sacred temples of Hindus – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

These four ancient temples also mark the spiritual source of four sacred rivers: Yamuna River (Yamunotri), Ganga River or Ganges (Gangotri), Mandakini River (Kedarnath) and Alaknanda River (Badrinath).

Traditionally, the Chardham yatra is undertaken from the west to the east, the yatra starts from Yamunotri and then proceeding to Gangotri and finally to Kedarnath and Badrinath. Pilgrims traditionally first visit Yamunotri and Gangotri and bring with them the holy waters from the sources of the rivers Yamuna and Ganga and offer abhishekams to Kedareshwara. Char Dhams of Uttarakhand is also known as Chota Dham Dham of India.

 

Day-wise Itinerary

You will be pick up from Haridwar Railway Station / Dehradun Airport / Railway Station. Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, En-route visit Kempty Fall (Suitable place for Lunch). After Lunch straight drive to Barkot and after reach proceed to your Hotel and relax. Rest of the day free at leisure, you enjoy the natural beauty of hills, mountain valley, breath fresh air. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Barkot Weather:
Summer - 25 to 30 Degree Celsius
Winter - 15 to 20 Degree Celsius

Wake up early morning and drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6 kms). You can trek to Yamunotri either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. The trek passes through lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti, and several species of Himalayan shrubs.

After hearty breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Vishwanath Temple & Others. After reaching the Uttarkashi Check-in to Hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure, you can enjoy this beautiful city by own. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Uttarkashi Weather:
Summer - 30 to 35 Degree Celsius
Winter - 15 to 20 Degree Celsius

After breakfast drive to Gangotri, en route at Gangnani take a holy dip in Holly Garam Kund then continue to drive to Gangotri via wonderful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees, mountains, and here also shooted some Indian films. After arrival at Gangotri Dham, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in this sacred place and then get ready to return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

After hearty breakfast drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh & Lambgoan. En route, you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara and you will find yourself surrounded by the mountains. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath and it is conflusion with Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag, you will continue to drive alongside the Mandakini river to reach Guptakashi. On arrival at Guptkashi Check-In at the Hotel, evening visit Ardh Narishwar Temple which is very also famous and dedicated to Lord Shiva (The presiding idol in the temple is actually half man and half women presenting Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati). Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Guptkashi Weather:
Summer - 23 to 28 Degree Celsius
Winter - 10 to 15 Degree Celsius

After breakfast departure for Shri Kedarnath Dham. Enjoy Kedarnath Darshan and Kedarnath valley & return back to your hotel. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.
Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva we also called it Jagrit Mahadev. The winter stay of shri Kedar Baba is in Ukhimath Village. Ukhimath village is very beautiful and it is surrounded by a lot of attractive places.

By Trek: Morning our driver will drop you at Sonprayag from Sonprayag you have to take a local jeep to Gaurikund and from there, your trek will start to kedarnath ji. After darshan, you follow the same & back to Sonprayag. There is a big parking issue in Sonprayag and Government not allowed to outsider vehicle after Sonprayag so the driver will back to another place, if his contact no. is not working then you have to arrange another taxi or wait for your driver.

By Helicopter: Morning we will transfer you to your prebook Helipad. You can inform the driver about your arrival time whether it will by helicopter or by trek, so that Driver will be there to pick you up. (Please note: helicopter ticket is not included in this package).

Kedarnath Weather:
Summer - 08 - 10 Degree Celsius
Winter - 02 Degree Celsius

Wake up early morning and after taking bath you are at the temple by 05:00 am for the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund and take a Jeep to Sonprayag. Further drive to Guptkashi. Check-in Hotel and Overneight stay at Guptkashi Hotel.

After hearty breakfast, drive to Badrinath Dham which is last Dham out of Uttarakhand Chardham. After reaching at Badrinath Dham Check-in to the hotel. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund head to the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana Village which is the last village of the Border, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Mana Village: It is the last Indian village before Tibet and it is Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe.

Vyas Gufa (cave): This is near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata.

Bhim Pul : The Bhim Pul (Bridge) is on the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Vasundhara Waterfall: As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 kms away from Badrinath out of which 2 kms. is motorable up to Mana.

Badrinath Weather:
Summer - 08 to 18 Degree Celsius
Winter - 02 Degree Celsius

Wake up early morning and after having a bath in the Taptkund head to the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check-in Hotel and day free leisure on your own. Rudraprayag is one of the Panchprayag of Uttarakhand and here is also the conflusion of Mandakini River and Alaknanda River. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Badrinath Weather:
Summer - 30 to 35 Degree Celsius
Winter - 18 to 25 Degree Celsius

After hearty breakfast drive to Rishikesh, the ‘place of sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of ” Hrishikesh ” and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.

Later transfer to Haridwar Railway Station / Dehradun Airport.

Chardharm tour will end here with lot of blessings and memories.
